In a career spanning over twenty years Mr.
Katzenberger’s diverse background in a multitude of
disciplines and industries uniquely positions him to bring
a wealth of knowledge to advise his client base in the procurement,
negotiation and supply chain management arena.
Ken’s background in consulting, accounting/finance,
project management, business process analysis/reengineering
and software implementation provides exceptional insight into
management and control of an entities operations. He has in
depth functional experience across wide spectrum of operations
ranging from discrete and process manufacturing, distribution,
wholesale, retail, to professional services. His industrial
experience has equal depth and variety having worked in high
technology, aerospace and defense, consumer electronics, consumer
products, chemicals and financial services. Ken has been successful
working within both start-ups, rapidly expanding organizations
as well as mature, stable business environments.
Prior to joining ERC, Ken operated a management
and information systems consulting firm specializing in strategic
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Process Improvement
(BPI) implementations and change management utilizing SAP
software. In this capacity Ken advised and guided clients
in the Fortune 100 as well as small to mid-sized organizations
through the solutions evaluation and implementation process.
This included but was not limited to aiding in the definition
and evaluation of the project(s) scope, objectives and deliverables.
Guiding the client through the critical first stages of the
project start-up, all phases of project management with continuing
counseling throughout the life of the project(s). In addition
to the ERP and BPI initiatives Ken has consulted small businesses/sole
proprietorships in general business structure, operations
process flow development and optimization. Staying true his
roots, Ken continues to maintain his skills with regard to
individual tax planning, preparation and estate planning services.
Prior to forming his own company, Ken worked
as an employee for a SAP America, and SAP Australia advancing
from client consulting and support, to administrative management
roles. In addition he also worked for Pennwalt (Elf Atochem),
Gulf and Western Industries, Commodore Business Machines and
Exxon with responsibilities ranging from operations accounting,
operational auditing to assistant controller plant accounting.
Ken’s formal education includes an
MBA in Finance and BBA in
Accounting from Temple University. He is also a Certified
Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania as well as being a Certified Specialist
in Estate Planning. As an independent consultant
he was the Keynote speaker for SAP America and The HMC Institute’s
“Total Cost of Ownership” Seminar series. |

Mr. Katzenberger has 20 years of experience
in various Operating and Executive positions. Jim has developed
a core competence of being able to recognize the need for
structure within an organization, design and implement control
systems, and foster a results-oriented scalable organization
based on process definition. To be successful at this, Jim
has honed the following skills: the analytical skills to determine
the need, the creative skills to define the solution, the
leadership skill to facilitate change management, and the
Project Management skills to ensure completion. Since 1996,
Jim has lead three organizations through the development path
and culminating in acquisition agreements.
Functionally, Jim has developed a broad perspective
and depth of skills. From the beginning of his career as an
Operations Consultant to present, Jim has gained hands on
experience as a Senior level Executive in Business Development,
Sales & Marketing, Operations, Service Delivery, Software
Development, and Supply Chain Management Consulting. Among
his accomplishments are building Sales organizations that
have attained more the 100% annual growth, personally sold
multi-million dollar engagements, and served as Project Manager
for multi-year, multi-million dollar projects.
Jim has consulted to a variety of industries.
These include, but are not limited to high technology, consumer
electronics, consumer hard goods, small and medium discrete
manufacturers, chemical and process industries, and large
international diversified manufacturers. Among Jim’s
former employers are SAP, IBM, Razorfish/i-Cube, Cambridge
Technology Partners, Bristlecone, and Catalyst.
Jim has developed the skills necessary to
communicate with a wide range of audiences. He has taught
in a classroom setting, lectured to students in Executive
Education, and presented at International User conferences.
Additionally, he has managed issues in one-on-one situations,
and developed and presented ideas from the Shop Floor to the
Senior Executive level. He has presented on topics which include
IT Strategy & Management, Supply Chain Management, Finite
Operations Scheduling, and Business Operations & Strategy.
Jim earned his BSBA from
The Ohio State University and a Masters in Management
of Technology from The University of Pennsylvania
(Wharton School). He has attended additional Executive Education
in Mergers & Acquisitions (UCLA) and Business Performance
Metrics (Cal Tech). In 2003, Jim attended Trading Floor education
at the NYSE. Additionally, Jim holds CPIM
